SECTION 01

Before You Buy: Start with the Right Plan

Buying a pool table is one of those rare purchases that combines practicality with passion. It isn't simply about choosing a table.

It's about creating a space where family gathers, friends compete, conversations continue long after dinner has finished, and memories are made for years to come.

Whether you're planning a dedicated games room, transforming an outdoor entertaining area, furnishing a holiday villa or creating a feature for your business, the right pool table becomes far more than a piece of furniture.

It becomes the centrepiece of the room.

At Titan Pool Tables, we've installed tables in modern apartments, country villas, family homes, rooftop terraces, golf resorts, bars and commercial venues throughout Spain.

Over the years we've learnt that the most successful installations all have one thing in common.

They begin with good planning.

This guide has been created to help you choose the right table, understand the space you'll need, prepare for installation and avoid common mistakes before delivery day.

By the time you finish reading, you'll have everything you need to plan your perfect pool table with complete confidence.

Because the best installations don't happen by chance...they happen through preparation.

Planning the Right Size Pool Table for Your Room

Size matters... but it's only part of the story.

The most common question we hear...

Before choosing a finish, cloth colour or accessories, almost every customer asks us the same question...

"Will my pool table fit?"

It's a simple question, but the answer is about much more than measuring the room. The right table depends on how you intend to use it, how much space you have available, the cue length

you'll play with and the overall experience you want to create.

A British 6ft pool table is the most popular choice for family homes, holiday villas and games rooms where making the best use of available space is important.

A British 7ft pool table provides a larger playing surface and delivers the closest experience to

league and tournament play. If your room allows it, it's the choice most serious players prefer.

Whichever table you choose, one thing never changes. Planning your room correctly before

ordering is the difference between a good installation and a great one.

The following room planning guide has been designed to help you choose with confidence.

Pool Table Room Size Guide (6ft & 7ft Tables)

Choose the Right Table. Plan the Perfect Space.

Before ordering your Titan pool table, it's important to make sure your room is large enough

to enjoy the game comfortably. The guide below shows the recommended minimum

room dimensions for our British 6ft and 7ft pool tables using three popular

cue lengths, helping you choose the right table with complete confidence.

Choosing the Right Cue Length

Many customers assume that a full-size 58-inch cue is the only option. However, if your room dimensions are slightly restricted, shorter cues can often provide the perfect solution.

As a guide:

58-inch cue (147cm) – The traditional choice for unrestricted play.

54-inch cue (137cm) – Ideal where space is limited but a near full-length playing experience is desired.

48-inch cue (122cm) – A practical option for compact rooms and tighter playing areas.

If you're unsure which cue length is right for your space, our team will be happy to advise.

Preparing for Pool Table Installation

At Titan, we understand that every home and every installation is different. While many installations are straightforward, factors such as stairs, narrow hallways, tight turns and restricted access can sometimes require additional planning.

To help ensure your installation runs smoothly, we ask customers to provide as much information as possible about the route from the delivery vehicle to the final location of the table that allows us to:

✓ Prepare appropriately for your installation

✓ Allocate sufficient time on the day

✓ Identify any specialist access requirements in advance

✓ Avoid unexpected delays

✓ Provide an accurate installation assessment from the outset

Understanding Your Installation

Titan pool tables are delivered in separate components before being assembled and levelled in their final position. Understanding how a pool table is installed helps ensure a smooth and efficient installation process. Every Titan pool table is professionally assembled and precisely levelled by our experienced installation team as part of the Titan Promise.

Typical Installation Components

Typical installation components include:

Slate Bed – approximately 160kg.

Table Cabinet – approximately 120kg.

Top Frame & Rail Assembly – while not as heavy as the slate bed or cabinet, this component requires careful manoeuvring to avoid damage and ensure a precise fit during assembly.

Why Titan Asks These Questions

Quite often, what initially appears to be a simple installation can involve challenges that are difficult to identify without further detail.

For example:

External steps leading to the property.

Tight 90-degree turns within hallways.

Spiral or narrow staircases.

Limited access through gates or doorways.

Restricted parking close to the property.

Rooftop terraces and elevated outdoor areas.

The more information you can provide, the better prepared we can be.

Installation Assessment Checklist

Due to the size and weight of these components, access routes should be carefully assessed before installation.

Please work through the questions below to help Titan assess your installation.

This information allows us to identify any factors that may require additional planning before installation day.
